Hours:
- Los
Alamos Clinic
hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Our office is closed on Friday. We do not
see patients from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Phone calls and business
matters will be addressed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, including
lunch. During these hours, if you are connected to our voice mail,
please leave a detailed message, including a telephone number where
you can be reached, so that we may assist you as quickly as possible.
- After-hours
calls are handled by our answering service at our main office number:
662-2646.
- Obstetrical
patients who have minor questions and concerns, or who think they
may be in labor, can call Los Alamos Medical Center at 662-4201
- extension 230 and speak to a Labor and Delivery nurse.
- Acute
emergencies
are referred to the Emergency Room at 662-4201.
Location:
- Our
Main Office is located in the new Los Alamos Medical Center
Office Building, 3917 West Road, Suit 250. Enter through the main
entrance to the new medical building and take the elevator to the
second floor. We are open Monday thru Thursday.
- Our
Hospital-based Services are performed at the Los Alamos
Medical Center; this includes all deliveries; in-patient and out-patient
surgeries; and all emergency and in-hospital consultations. We do
not provide hospital services outside of Los Alamos Medical Center.
Billing:
- Self-Paying
Accounts: Payment in full is requested at the time services
are rendered. If extended payments are necessary, prior arrangements
must be made by speaking with the office manager or collections
manager.
- Surgical
Patients: 1/2 of the surgical fee for major procedures is
requested at the time of the pre-op visit. The balance of the
account is to be paid by the 3rd month after surgery. Minor
procedures are to be paid in full at the time of the pre-op
visit.
- Obstetrical
Patients: 1/2 of the delivery fee is to be paid at the first
prenatal visit, the balance to be paid by the sixth month of
pregnancy.
- Insurance
Accounts: Insurance claims will be submitted shortly after
services are rendered. The required co-pay, deductible, and the
estimate of the amount that insurance will not cover will be collected
at the time of service.
- Collection
Accounts: Old bills must be paid before the patient can
be seen again in the office. If the patient does not have insurance
coverage or Medicaid, payment must also be made for services rendered
the day of the appointment, or the patient will not be seen.
- Note:
Los Alamos Women's Health Services, P.C., accepts MasterCard and
Visa. There is a finance charge of 1.5% per month (APR:18%) charge
on all accounts 30 days past due. We reserve the right to charge
our patients for copying medical records, missed appointments, duplicate
prescriptions and other paperwork when necessary.
